1851 Map Of Ireland, Originally made by Map maker, Tallis. Lovely example of the original marvelous map. Includes decorative vignettes of St. Patricks in Dublin, Limerick Castle, The Holy Well, Ross Castle on Lake Killarney and the Round Tower at Wicklow. Tallis was one of the last great decorative map makers. His maps are prized for the wonderful vignettes of indigenous scenes, people, etc. The map was drawn and engraved by John Rapkin. The Illustrations Drawn by J.Marchant and engraved by J.Rogers. Decorative engraved borders. Map is unframed. Map Size: 17 x 22 inches.
