Processing Your Order
We receive notice of your order as soon as it is submitted. An order number is assigned that would be used for any correspondence regarding your order. Your order and payment will then be confirmed and in-stock merchandise will be sent out within 48 hours. We strive to inventory as many of the over 2,000 items we represent, however if a product is out of stock, please allow 2 – 3 weeks for delivery. We will notify you of delivery times required for Special Order merchandise.
Credit card charges will be processed prior to the time of shipping. No order may be shipped until authorization of payment is received from a credit card vendor. Note: O’Brien’s Irish Cottage accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover and arrangements may be made for Money order or Bank check payment.

Orders will be shipped by the best available means. FedEx, UPS or United States Postal Service will be used as deemed most expedient. Note that shipping charges include insurance and handling. Larger items or special shipping requests may require special handling charges—you will be advised before the order is processed if additional fees are required.
Return and Cancellation Policy
If there is a need to return or exchange an item or cancel an order we offer the following policy to our on-line guest:
1. An order that has not been shipped may be cancelled at any time. There will be no charge unless a “Custom order” is in process at that time a cancellation fee will be incurred to cover in process costs of the item. All items must be returned in original condition and manufacturer’s packaging with all packing slips, tags and inserted literature included.
Note: Personalized or Sale items are not returnable. Items marked as “Custom Order” on your invoice, will indicate those items excluded from this Return policy. Examples of such items include Heraldic items, wedding rings or Signs and plaques.
2. To Return or exchange an item call Customer Service at 586-566-9686 or e-mail Customer Service at service@obriensirishcottage.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization ( RMA ) number. An RMA must be requested within 10 days of receipt of merchandise
3. Shipping charges will not be refunded, except in the case of an error on the part of O’Brien’s Irish Cottage. Then both the cost of the item and shipping charges will be returned. Freight damaged items should be processed by the Freight forwarding company.
4. Orders returned as “Refused” are subject to a 25% restocking charge including the cost of shipping.
